Fundraise for endangered species

Earthwatch Australia has partnered with Edge Pledge to help people raise funds for the planet’s endangered species. Edge Pledge is a challenge-based fundraising platform that raises money for species on the brink of extinction.

Gift an experience

Already got everything you need? Are you stumped looking for a gift for someone who has everything they need? Imagine what the gift of an Earthwatch Expedition could do.

You could even start an Earthwatch Expedition Fund for yourself or someone you care about to raise funds for and participate in scientific research and travel opportunities around the globe.

Creating an Earthwatch Expedition Fund is simple. We’ll help you set up your online fund that you can share with friends and family who can then start donating to this life- and planet-changing gift.

To start your fund, you’ll need an initial $60 contribution. All donations will be non-refundable. You’ll then have three years from when the contributions are made to put your funds toward an Earthwatch Expedition. After that time, the funds revert to Earthwatch as a general donation.

ClimateWatch

ClimateWatch is a program that aims to understand how changes in temperature and rainfall are affecting the seasonal behaviour of Australia's plants and animals by monitoring changes in flowering times, breeding cycles and migration movement. Simply by snapping a photo in your backyard or local area, ClimateWatch gives every Australian the opportunity to get involved in collecting and recording data that will help shape the country’s scientific response to climate change.
Tiny Forests

Urban forests play a critical role in maintaining the health and liveability of cities, increasing a city's resilience. Earthwatch Australia is partnering with researchers and social enterprises across Australia to deliver tiny forests, an accelerated and intensive planting process to bring biodiversity back into our cities.
Wetlands not Wastelands

In partnership with Coca Cola Australia Foundation, the Carpentaria Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, and Plastic Collective, Earthwatch provides training to 20 CLCAC Indigenous Land and Environment Rangers and 30 community volunteers to help deliver a first-of-its-kind marine pollution and wetland management program in the Lower Gulf of Carpentaria.
